After three innings the Hurricanes trail the Panthers 4-3.

FIU jumped out to a four-run lead in the first and second innings. The Panthers scored on a, double, sac fly and a single to build a three-run lead. In the second inning, Roney hits a solo home run to extend the lead.

A throwing error in the third helped Perez get to home plate, and a double by Dorian Gonzalez scored two more for the Hurricanes.

Starter Ashton Crowther lasted 1.1 innings in this game and Miami has rotated in a few pitchers to try and hold this FIU Panther lineup in check but are failing to do so.

Slaide Naturman came in and pitched 2.1 innings, hit two batters, and allowed one run.

Chris Scinta walked two, struck out one, and was pulled for Ben Chestnutt.

Ben pitched two innings, striking out three and allowing just one hit.

Miami went to the pen again as Chris Diaz was on the mound in the top of the seventh, who allowed four runs to put Miami in a four-run hole.

Panthers lead Hurricanes 9-5 going into the 8th inning.
 
Miami continues with the high number of pitchers in this one as Myles Caba pitched in the 8th, faced five batters, struck out one, and hit a batter, but kept the score the same going into the 9th.

Brandon Olivera is on the mound for the Hurricanes in the 9th.
 
Olivera retires three on 19 pitches striking out two. Miami is down to three outs and need at least four runs in the bottom of the 9th.
 
Jack Scanlon singles up the middle to score two runs for the Hurricanes.
