Mayweather

I had a $5.00 per hole skins golf game at the Vinoy Golf Club in St. Pete on Saturday...

He will be court side seeing dollar signs around the 8 min mark of the 3rd quarter.

Miller Time baby, just like last year vs. Boston game 7.

Rack'em....

Wise move. I'm sure he'll hold on to his money well in to retirement. (is my sarcasm coming through?)

Since January 10th, the Heat have lost 9 basketball games.

In the games following those losses, they have covered the spread every single time.

Doesn't mean they will tonight, but they certainly have proven to bounce back well from a loss. Not only have they won all 9 games following a loss, but they covered the spread in all 9 as well. No back to back losses in almost 5 months. Pretty crazy. They lost Game 1 to Chicago and won game 2 by 37 points. They lost Game 2 to Indiana and put up one of the most impressive first halves in playoff history in Game 3 and blew Indiana out. They lost game 4 to Indiana and LeBron went bath-salt mode in the 3rd quarter of Game 5 and Miami won by double digits.

They lost Game 6 and ................................

Guy is a stone cold loser and chaser, why do you think the M takes his bets

Go ask the M if they would take 5 Mi from Billy Walters on football during the season, by the end of the year it would be Billy's Sportsbook

Vegas only wants square's action, days of big bettors betting with them is why, why do you think former M boss was thrpwing action off too Pinnacle, Pinnacle takes on everyone

Will be broke 2 years within his retirement. Will then make a "comeback" and ruin his legacy by losing a couple of fights.

5.9 DOLLARS? You sure it's not pesos? Maybe the Vietnamese Dong? Why can't he just leave 5.9 million in the ring and say anyone that can knock me out gets the money.

I hope this guy has a line of grills, pots pans what ever coming out... if he bets this kind of money he's gonna have to George Forman his ass fighting til he's 60+ years old

Dude has made and lost millions gambling on NFL, NBA, etc, before.

Won't be the first or last time. He got MAD CHEESE!

I think it's a phenomenal. If you really believe the last game was legit with the team scoring 77 points, you've got some screws loose. The scored 70 points in the 1st half earlier in the series. The Heat are going to win big tonight at home.

gambling is an illness I hope it gets help before it ends up poorly. With his addictive personality if he does not get help when boxing is over drugs and alcohol are next.

5.9 mil is a lot to the normal person, but is chump change to floyd. He'll make 60+ mil this year and has for a long time. a couple years ago he bet 1 mil on the first half of the national championship, lost it, turned around and bet 2 on the second half and won. he isn't gambling for yhe first time, he bets all the time. When mayweather gambles he wins.

He continues to give his haters a very good reason to hate him. Love his talents, hate his personality. He sets a horrible example for our people, so much so that I feel sorry for him. As for the game tonight, I have a few bets that the Pacers will win...and I expect to have a few hundred dollars tomorrow as a result. Basketball Gods and the game want and need the Pacers to win....you'll see so enough.

Sorry but betting 10% of your salary on one basketball game (that has nothing to do with him) is stupid no matter how spin it. 5.9 mil is a lot for any athlete. This line of thinking is why so many of them go broke. Now if you are talking about Bill Gates money then yes, that is chump change. But you still don't get Bill Gates money being this stupid your money. When will these guys learn?

To answer your last question, when we stop watching....which is never!

Now there are reports that the colorful fighter may have bet $6 million on the Miami Heat to beat the Indiana Pacers Monday night as a 7 point favorite. In the rare event Mayweather placed a money line bet he would have to have wagered nearly 4 times the amount he'd expect to get back with odds hovering around -400. Hardly a sure thing considering the Pacers currently have this series tied up heading into Game 7.

Our good friend Randy Bell at Pregame.com doubts such a bet has actually been placed and wants to see proof.

Bell told TheBigLead.com:

"I've been in Vegas for 15 years and I've talked to every major Sportsbook during that time. The biggest bet anyone has told me they've taken is $3 million. Without proof, I'm very skeptical about this Mayweather wager." Bell wouldn't go on the record with the Sportsbook that took the $3 million wager, or what the event was.

"It's very hard to get that much money down, legitimately, in Las Vegas," Chad Millman, who hosts the popular gambling podcast, Behind the Bets, told me. "A lot of people I have spoken to don't think this is a legit bet. The line would move considerably. That alone makes me think that it is not legit

Well I know I'm a few hundred dollars richer...hate your guarantee didn't pan out...lol.

As to betting 5.9 million...I agree, though he looks pretty smart right now if the bet was legit.

I lost about $250 tonight betting against Miami. I got too damn cocky after winning a few hundred after Miami didn't win in five. I got the Spurs in 6, which a few guys at work will take since they love Miami and will have my money to bet. Gonna be a great series either way.

If true, once again Mayweather rolls into the bank on you hating MoFos. Man is a money making machine and all some can do is predict his demise. Lol...

We are Miama the team & city everybody loves to hate. It started with The Fins in the 70 ties then The Canes gave us a 20 year run that will never be matched. Then the Marlins stepped up to the plate and brought home 2 more rings! Now its The Heats turn baby! Haters are going to hate but we don't go away! Golden will have his day trust me!

I bet $5.90 that Mayweather will be broke and declare bankruptcy by the time he's 50... He'll be another athlete like Tyson, Warren Sapp, etc... who couldn't save and/or invest his money in the right method when he was younger, only to wonder what the hell happened to it all down the road... All this "you guys are haters" bulls**t is just that- bulls**t... The only haters are the idiots in Mayweather's entourage... Maybe the rest of us are being realistic- what a novel concept...

Mayweather makes it rain- let's hope he's saving for a rainy day...

Hahhaha Mayweather WILL be broke 10-15 years after his final fight which will start with a KO loss to Canelo Alvarez...

My favorite Mayweather bet was I believe 2 Million on Michigan +14 against Bama to open the season last year and 2 million on Michigan ML in the same game... ahahah they lost by like 60.

THE FCKN VIG THAT THE BOOK IS MAKING ON THOSE BETS!!!!!!! 5.9 million they are taking 590k if he loses in VIG and maybe if he has some high roller VIP nutcase recuced 5%vig which I highly doubt it would still be 295k....

EASILY the most overpaid athlete in the world....

Who are the "idiots" in his camp? Are you referring to hid dad and uncle both of whom are under educated and profane sometimes? It appears likely that the others in his camp on the business side have acquitted themselves quite well. Floyd comes from a deprived background and is light years ahead of Holyfield,Tyson etc. in terms of understanding that minus his talent the general public sees him as another ghetto entertainer who will fail in life once his career is over and he doesn't care....and should'n't. Theoretically, this is a free country.

If Mayweather is "light years" ahead of Holyfield, Tyson, etc... with respect to understanding fiscal responsibilities, then why is he betting $5.9 million on a basketball game...???

The issue isn't about him living in a free country and whether he has the right to bet $1, 5, or 10 million on this or that or these other things... He can do whatever he wants under the law as far as I am concerned- the question is whether THAT CHOICE is a logical one, a responsible one, one which supports the long-term future of his finances... If he thinks so, then good for him, and that is his decision. From what I have heard, read, and seen, he is pretty reckless with his money, making it rain, flaunting, etc... It's one thing to be an entertainer athlete and show confidence by buying the finer things in life... It's another to throw money around like leaves off of a tree and act the way he acts... That's why I have my opinion of him...

But make no mistake- I'm certainly not hoping anything bad happens to him, but any reasonable person looking at his life and conduct can't help but wonder whether that guy is going broke before he hits retirement...
