Bipartisan Senate group announces infrastructure deal
A bipartisan group of 10 senators Thursday afternoon announced an agreement on a “compromise framework” to invest $1.2 trillion in infrastructure over the next eight years.
5 Democrats
5 Republicans
Top line spending 1.2 Trillion over 8 years
No TAX increases except a gas tax indexed to inflation
Roads, bridges, rail, broadband, an energy portion, REAL infrastructure
No Green New Deal
Very similar to the previous bipartisan bill by a different group
Would still have to go thru various committees and caucuses.
