I can't link (but you can Google) the articles because you need a subscription to read in it's entirety. Doctor from John Hopkins predicts HERD IMMUNITY in America by April. That's right April. A 75% drop in new cases coupled with the number of people already infected + the number of people vaccinated + another 1.7 million daily vaccinated which is expected to increase - young children and we have herd immunity within next 60-90 days. In short, the virus is running out of hosts.

Israel's State run Sheba Hospital and published in the Lancet Medical Journal the Pfizer vaccine 1 DOSE is enough for now and the vaccine can be kept in regular freezers. They recommend 1 DOSE and stretching out the 2nd by up to 12 additional weeks. They found it to be 92% effective and it produced anti-bodies. This would allow more people to vaccinate sooner.

As mentioned in other threads, that doesn't factor in the dozen or so COVID variants that the vaccine's don't all work with. We may get the most of the country vaccinated on the original COVID strain by late summer, but at that point, the new variants will become the new COVID.

We don't know if all vaccines work on all strains. With the except of Pfizer and South African strain, which has shown some promise of protection.

If we don’t know, then why did you insinuate it would not work. Early studies show current vaccines are still highly effective against new variant, or at least as effective, such as seasonal flu (63%?) vaccines.

Just heard an interview with the scientist from John Hopkins who wrote the article. He said beyond the anti-bodies which we test for sometimes and those we know had it, there are many who's T cells have been activated. We do not test for T cells the most powerful immunity and fighting cells in our bodies the T cells are "memory cells" once activated they kick in and act as a natural virus fighting mechanism. He feels we and India are already showing signs of herd immunity.
