Simply going on stats, as it should be heavily waited on, ‘cept for a handful of extraordinary circumstance…I.e. (Gayle Sayers, Terrell Davis, Dwight Stevenson, Sean Taylor???, etc)…on STATS alone he should have been voted in in year (1) of eligibility/finalists.
-Off the field, if my memory serves, he never got into any serious trouble for doing anything untoward.

-Oh wait, he hasn’t yet gotten voted in, a (3rd) time a finalists BTW, because???…Some of the more esteemed, tenured, WELL RESPECTED, All-knowing, All-seeing, beyond reproach, members of the Sports Media, have a large controlling portion of said HOF votes…to wit, the aforementioned stats, and that’s (#5)…NUMBER FIVE!!! in total tackles…not just for LB’s…which to be fair, in any good/great well coached/schemed defense, the LB’s, specifically the MLB’s, SHOULD be the annual leaders in total tackles on said defense…But #5 in total tackles for all positions in history!!! Or at least modern history…
OH wait…WAIT!!!one cotto, pickin‘ minute…Yo say you were a (5-10/5-11) undersized MLB, the (154) PLAYER picked in the (5th) round of the NFL draft out of that defensIve football factory know as Texas Tech University…lol…those facts alone coupled with your extraordinary stats, should have gotten you in FIRST BALLOT!
