Obviously, we have to win our region first...

But...

In the Hattiesburg Regional check this out...Friday night, No. 3 seed Kennesaw State led LSU 11-4 going into the 8th. The Tigers rallied to score 10 runs in the 8th to win, 14-11.

Saturday night, host Southern Miss led LSU 6-2 going into the B9 when the Tigers rallied again scoring 4x to tie the game at 6. They plated a run in the 10th to win, 7-6.

Sense a pattern here?

Army went 0-2 so they're headed back to their home on the Hudson. LSU is now 2-0...Kennesaw St. and Southern Miss meet in an elimination game Sunday and the winner will have to turn around and beat LSU twice to win the region. That will be a tall task so for now, the Tigers are in the driver's seat.

If we win our region and LSU wins theirs, U can expect a tsunami of purple and gold to rain down on The Light next weekend. It will be of biblical proportion as their fans travel...BIG time.

And of course expect about 85 million replays by ESPN of the dramatic Warren Morris walk-off HR that beat the Canes in the '96 (?) CWS. Joy.

Go Canes!
