Adding the high number of meaningful and significant coaching changes that have gone on at major programs across the country (very grateful for ours!) to the now fashionable bowl game opt-outs, it just seemed like this bowl season was never really going to get off the ground. A lot of the matchups are diluted (Michigan State RB, Pitt QB etc.) but I don’t recall a year that had so many coaching changes so early, I.e. the day after the regular season etc. Probably a likely result of having an early signing day only a week or two after the last regular season game. It now looks more and more unlikely that Miami will be able to make the bowl game but that’s obviously Covid related and has nothing to do with coaching changes. I am looking forward to watching UCF play UF tonight. Can both teams lose?
