First the compliment; I do applaude entering into an agreement with all those Asian nations and sending a message to China. Not at all a perfect agreement as the USA Chamber of Commerce has already criticized it because it doesn't open up markets for USA companies. Still it gets a lukewarm compliment from this conservative.

As for his answer to the press that we are not going into a recession, well that's just stupid. By all measures every Consumer Sentiment number is already there. Consumer sentiment is a LEADING indicator of things to come. This is akin to inflation will be transitory. Just dumb.
