I know you probably won't believe me but I dont like him either. To me he was simply the lesser of 2 evils and I have hopes of marijuana decriminalization.
Do you think there will come a time in the future when we are not picking the lesser of two evils? Seems like our choices get worse every 4 years.
As Booker T Washington said a long time ago, "A lie doesn't become truth, wrong doesn't become right, and evil doesn't become good just because it's accepted by a majority." Such a brilliant man and thank goodness that he didn't accept the lie that he was oppressed. Some see oppression while great men see an obstacle to overcome.
Yes, I'm looking forward to a conservative candidate with common sense and compassion. I don't care from which party they come either.
In the present however, only authoritarians would attempt to discredit the views of a majority of the country, because they know they can't win by numbers and will instead have to attempt to win by cheating, misinformation and outright lies.
It seems as if most Americans are more in the middle somewhere, regardless of whichever way they may lean, yet the parties are heading more towards the fringes.

It was easy to see this when they brought lying witnesses to the Kavanaugh hearing, as well as when the "honorable" ambassador lady so blatantly lied through her teeth during the first impeachment sham. You worry so much about the splinter in the eye of the other party while ignoring the oak tree that grows in your own.
There's more money than ever to be made in politics than ever right now. And the only way they can continue to steal wantonly is by keeping us thoroughly divided. Comfortable = compliant society. All government and parties need to be held accountable.
Something needs to be done about all the career politicians that have taken over the country. Are you in favor of term limits?
Hell yes! But I also believe politicians should have to vote whatever the people in their district vote. And if they dont they should be removed. We've let this shit get too convoluted and let these people word f@ck the constitution. But the people have to become more self reliant and then they can hold them accountable.
I agree for the most part but the people in some of these districts are not very bright, as evidenced by people like Omar and Greene getting elected. Either way, it's nice to see the two of us in agreement over something here in the lounge.

In all fairness, each district has the right to elect people that represent the local constituents. What I do find interesting is McCarthy and the Red team said that Greene should not have significant committee positions. But the Blue team coached by Hair Cut Nancy has no problem putting Omar in major positions of power.
Let us all remember Omar was the whack job that when asked about the 3000 + killed in 9-11 by Islamic terrorists said "some people did some things".
I truly wish Trump had repeated that "Idiot's dream" ( Full editorial credit to that line goes to REM - What's the Frequency Kenneth?) statement about 1-6-2021 to shove it back in the Libbies face, the horrific statement from Omar, one of the worst people in the World - Keith Oberman, that Libbies still do not have courage to condemn.
Still waiting for Nancy, Chuckie and the Dem's to condemn the 9-11 apologist Omar?
And please enjoy a great song from a great band; REM. Got their start in Athens Georgia. I've been to the bar that they got their start in downtown Athens, major hang out area for UGA students. The area might have been why Stevenson signed with UGA in the first place?
