You really need to find something to do....LMAO. I mean seriously. This is getting scary. Jeez! Get over already. He is president. Won by 8 Million votes and has maintained an approval rating Trump could only dream of ever achieving.

What slob needs to be told to wash his face before a TV conference, then picks it off and eats it on camera?

Oh but I do so much more here. It's not my fault he is the single worst president in American history. Negative stories come out about it almost every day.

For sure he's got great ratings. Anyone voting for this nothing-guy got what they voted for.

Trump lost the popular vote in both his elections. Keep searching for that elusive proof of fraud!
Just having some fun on a slow day, Mike. Unless there is irrefutable evidence out there of fraud, Pudding Brain is my president unfortunately.

Your're an honest man. BTW. Trump lost the popular vote to Clinton by a bigger margin than any US president in history.

...AND happy I did. Nice to see my own tax dollars at work for common people....and not the rich for their cucks to be happy.

There is a reason why the electoral vote is how we choose our presidents in this country. They do need to tighten up that process though.

No legitimate reason exists to maintain the Electoral College and it goes against basic democratic principles by making the vote of one citizen worth more than the vote of another depending on the population of the state in which they reside and how close the race happens to be in that state. Should have been abolished long ago! Things change and the founding fathers had no foresight into many things that exist today. What would Benjamin Franklin have to say about the absurdity that Alaska, with less than a million inhabitants, has the same Senate power as California, a state with over 38 million people.

And how many times was Obama impeached?
And nothing came of these b.s. impeachments. Same if the Republicans take the House in 2022 and start Impeachment proceedings against the geriatric. All you have to do is have the majority in the House and phoney up charges like the Democrats did against Trump. Most likely nothing comes of it.

If you do away with the electoral vote the big cities would forever be in charge. Rules that work in NY and Cali don't always work the same as in more rural areas. The people in those areas deserve equal footing and would become nothing more than an afterthought in national elections if that were to happen. Ben and the rest of them were smart enough to see that. Respectfully disagree here.

The Electoral College is an outdated, undemocratic and biased system that should be abolished to better fit a modern world and a modern democracy. Democracy is governed by its most understood principle: majority rule. When something is voted on, the side with the most votes win, whether it is an election, a legislative bill, etc. You're saying people in rural areas deserve equal footing but what you're really saying is that their vote should count more than that of a person living in a city. That's not Democracy!

Will agree to disagree here. We both have our opinion on this and not wanting to chase my tail all night.

We have a representative republic for a reason. It amazes me the arrogance people show when they dismiss the electoral college. We have fifty states, though Obama thought we had fifty seven.

The only way each state gets representation is through the electoral college. If we didn’t have it Chicago, New York, and California would decide everything, and the rest of the country would be screwed.

The election for the president should be a little more elaborate than a high school election. Without the electoral college it’s mob rule.

Remove California and Hillary loses the popular vote. California shouldn’t even count since they’re a bunch of commies.

At the core of Democracy lies a principle-that all votes should count equally. This is violated because the winner-take-all system of allocating Electoral votes, the only votes that count are those for the person who wins the state in which they were cast. In 2016 this resulted in over 52 million votes being ignored in the presidential election. That is hardly being counted equally and that is not democracy.

Nope, mike you’re just not thinking. Most votes would be worthless if we didn’t have a representative republic. Since you’re smarter than the founding fathers, you should start your own country.

As I stated, the core principle of democracy is that all votes should count equally. You're saying that they should not. The founding fathers couldn't predict the future, thus the need for all our amendments. Did they envision automatic assault weapons and other developments for which they had no idea? They lived in a different world than we do now. They wrote the Constitution over 200 years ago. As Bob Dylan wrote, "the times they are a changin"

You need to read the constitution. We are a Republic of states.

Maybe you would like it there , its socialist and communist country.
You’ll feel right at home no electoral system ..
If I went there I would join the revolution. I fought against the communists in Vietnam.

We are a republic of states that should be governed by the core principle of democracy-majority rule. Not some outdated system that doesn't even serve its original purpose.
