This would be a Temporary and ONLY 1 year deal…No longer. Maybe they Can get an analyst deal going forward
If Mario is struggling to hire good candidates because he got here late in the coaching hire game then the worst thing he can do is hire the wrong person on a heavy/long contract. This opens up the opportunity to get in early on next years pool and hit a home run.
Both guys have top line experience and can be “gap fillers.” Mario respects both and has experience with both from his days as a GA. They are basically retired and would likely both jump in and do it.
