This is what VPs do - they travel, the meet with people, they take photos with locals, they discuss policy with leaders etc.

The border is not going to be solved by her or anyone else, since people are going to continue coming here no matter what. A harsh assessment, but also a realistic one.

Well, there is no solution to the border situation. As long as there is a humanitarian crisis in the northern triangle nations, those folks are going to continue to make their way up here to seek asylum. We need to work with other countries to figure out a way to get them to accept some people as well. Mexico needs to step up as well.
I think she's been there. You don't need to repeatedly go back for photo ops and the rest of the work can all be done remotely.

There's actually an easy fix to our border problems. Don't let them in illegally, and if you catch them, send them back ASAP. Eventually the word will get out to the immigrants that they are not wanted here unless they come through legal means.
