China and Russia keep contributing to the pollution, Biden asks for more oil as he stops fracking for NG. NG low emissions compared to oil or coal. Make gas $8 a gallon and make the internal combustion engine cost prohibitive. Now we’ll have electric vehicles.

And the Consumer Price Index does NOT include energy or food prices. The true increased cost to the working poor and middle class is far higher. Those folks are learning that their vote for Joe and the dem's have made their life worse. It is bad in many places. When heating oil costs start kicking in there is going to be a lot of real pain for many people. Joe and the dems have tried ignore it, then told people they were just gonna have to suffer through it for some years.

WRONG .. there are 8 major categories in the CPI:
1. Food and Beverages
2. Housing (including homeowners fuel oil cost).
3. Apparel
4. Transportation .. new vehicles, air fares, GASOLINE, motor vehicle insurance.
5. Medical Care
6. Recreation (TV costs, pets and pet care, sports)
7. Education
8. Other .. tobacco, personal care (barbers, salons etc).
FUEL cost instability is a major reason for the month to month volatility in the CPI.

You can get lost in the weeds of various indexes. There are multiple CPI's. The metric (6.2% October increase) reported yesterday does not include energy and food because it is considered too volatile. So 6.2% increase on "stuff" on top of the out of control gas and food shows how strong the inflationary trends are.

I find the various CPI's to be confusing, but it is clear that this rapidly becoming a significant kitchen table issue effecting real working people, as opposed to liberal effetes like John private jet Kerry- his wife's jet, not his.
