As of today 28 million KNOWN cases of covid confirmed. Add in millions of cases asymptomatic and symptomatic where the person CHOSE NOT to get tested and you have over 30 million people already exposed and presumably now have anti-bodies. Who knows how long those last? Then as of a day ago we vaccinated nearly 52 million citizens and are vaccinating 1.67 million daily and that number is expected to rise. So if we add the 2 together we are probably close (or getting close) to 100 million citizens with anti-bodies. It is getting harder for the virus to find hosts. The more vaccinated and the more recovered, then the more anti bodies DAILY!

The only wildcard you left off are the variants. The vaccines may work on some of them (such as Pfizer being effective on the South African) and others not so much. We are basically in a race to vaccinate as many people as possible before the variants take over as the predominant strains of COVID, replacing the original strain from the past year.

Correct..The worst medical crises this country has seen in the last 100 years may be starting to get under control however we are not there yet..We still need to wear our masks, keep social distancing and continue to be diligent in keeping ourselves and our families safe...Normalcy, as we know it, should happen, per Fauci, sometime in the fall or winter..

It the Flu! A new and nasty one, but it is the flu.

"There's no reason to be walking around with a mask," infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci told 60 Minutes.

While masks may block some droplets, Fauci said, they do not provide the level of protection people think they do. Wearing a mask may also have unintended consequences: People who wear masks tend to touch their face more often to adjust them, which can spread germs from their hands.

"Tony Fauci is saying a year to 18 months -- I think that's optimistic," said Dr. Peter Hotez, a leading expert on infectious disease and vaccine development at Baylor College of Medicine. "Maybe if all the stars align, but probably longer."

Dude, if you want to follow a scientist who has 50 years experience, the HIGHEST paid Federal Employee, the go-to guy for all things COVID, BUT changed his mind on something as basic as the efficacy of masks, then be my guest. I bet you double mask, don't you?

Great point. Better to change ones mind as more information becomes available as Fauci did, then continue to double down on wrong information and engage in prolonged outright deception as Trump did.

Actually, get your facts straight. Fauci said he lied about mask use initially to ensure the common folk wouldn’t make a run on PPEs to ensure medical professionals had access to them. This was not science changing. He either lies initially to save PPEs, or lied to cover up his horrible statement on masks. Either way, he lied, and it had nothing to do with changing data.
