Ed coached Miami the years Mario was enrolled. Ed has DEEP Louisiana ties and would recruit the heck out of that state. Ed is known as an ELITE RECRUITER. Not that it matters, but Ed now has a ton of money to spend in Miami (best city in USA to be wealthy, only second to NYC). Ed has a new girlfriend who probably wouldn’t mind getting the heck out of Louisiana (basically blamed for his downfall, smh). Between 88-92 Ed recruited and coached some of Miami’s greatest defensive linemen. Finally, Ed may just want to help Miami DOMINATE as it did when he was first there.
Frankly and selfishly, I dream of the day Miami dominates and destroys LSU in the Peach Bowl, with Mario, Brady and Orgeron on the sidelines. Then steal one of their footballs.

“…I could definitely see Orgeron — one of the best recruiters in the history of college football — taking over as the Hurricanes’ defensive line coach.
Orgeron was at Miami from 1988-1992. He took a leave of absence from the Hurricanes in later 1992, not returning to coaching until 1994 with Nicholls State.
Edit: A ‘Cistobal’/Orgeron combination at Miami could be bad news for the ACC.
Going back to Miami would essentially be Orgeron’s career coming full circle. And it’s probably the only scenario where I could see Orgeron coaching in 2022.”
