These guys get paid millions to win football games. Hundreds of thousands of fans invest their money and their time in their teams and hope the coaches they have will give them the wins they want. Some coaches are easy to like .When they lose , some people call them unspeakable names and sometimes harass their family members. But the coaches know what they are getting into and have to develop tough skin when they fail. With a likeable guy like Manny its easy to sympathize with him but in the long run, its wins and losses that determine if you keep your job. You are what your record says you are and right now this is a pretty mediocre football team. But a dynamic coach could get this righted fairly quickly. Lots of young talent and also wise use of the transfer portal can make a big difference. Michigan State was 2-6 last year and now they are 7-0 and in the top 10.
A lot of us would have liked Manny to succeed but the writing is on the wall and i do not doubt the wheels are in motion to search for a new coach .I dont feel sorry for Manny. He has his nest egg and is set for life. I feel more sorry for many of the players going through this. They deserve better coaching .
