In order for the fans to get what they want, a winning football program, the entire high level decision making around the program needs a reboot. The school has about 60 members on their BOT. Here is a link to the list.

I don’t know which members are currently involved in making football decisions, but, clearly collectively they aren’t interested in returning to the top of the football world. Maybe a few of them are, however, there are not enough of them.
Matt’s article this morning citing the opinions of fellow journalists that Miami can get by on the ACC revenue without being a top team, was eye opening. If you haven’t read it, you should.
If this theory is true, nothing meaningful will change until a “football first” group on the BOT emerges and takes control of making football related decisions.
