Mark Richt was a big improvement over Al Golden and his experience and recruiting helped with signing two amazing classes in 2017 and 2018 which will be the main reason we have what it takes to beat Florida in 29 days , However as he mentioned he just ran out of juice and it showed big time in his last season . His kind hearted decision to hire his son as QB coach along with continuing to call plays and not be a military perfectionist had a lot to do with it .His team could sense that he was no longer into it and it showed how players themselves were no longer giving it there all .
Manny Diaz comes in guns blazing with a check list of accomplishments and decisions made that has the whole college football world on watch and certain he was a big Up Grade.

Opposing Defenses , Opposing coaches and even a few knowledgeable fans would call out Richts play selection as a game was going . Run ... Run ... passs .... punt . Was a real thing . That poor OL and poor young Nkosi were set up for failure as you could see 7-8 defensive players licking there chops tips toeing into a full house 3rd down blitz where the only route Richt had drawn up was a slow developing fade .
In comes Dan Enos with a concept that does the complete opposite . Just like The Rams and the Patriots we’re going to have motion and shifts all over the place Pre Snap that will have you hesitating and heading in the wrong direction as many plays as we can force you to. It only takes one miss step from your linebackers to break a Pitch 40 yards into the safeties . Thank Jesus Enos is here .

Defense = Same Bad ass Defense

Last year we had more proven players , but this years team has players replacing them who have way higher ceilings and much better physical attributes and higher ceilings than those guys . One example ......
Jaquan Johnson , he was a true Cane and played very good , however he was and always will be limited with his 4.7 speed and small stature . In steps a pro typical safety specimen who is a beast ( Gurvan Hall )
6 ft 1 210 pounds 4.4 speed with all the intangibles to go with the classic cane safety mentality to decapitate players .
RB Travis Homer , great Cane and teammate , solid player but a twiener at RB where he just didn’t have that full package whether it be power , moves , or quickness .
In Steps Dades best RB in 2017 Cam Harris who is your classic Canes RB where he is so quick , so fast and has so much wiggle that he literally can house that biiiiiiiiiihhhh on any given play from anywhere on the field and nooooo he won’t be caught from an angle or from behind . Did I say DADE COUNTY back ?
Transfers - The Addition of those 7 transfers is going to be huge .
QB- say what you want or get caught up in that dumb recent Racial feud , but the QB room with the added swagger and competition fromTate Martell along with a real QB Coach and Scheme will have any of the 3 guys Slinging it all over and making us proud .
OL- check
The OL will be going from being on there heals all game long due to the offenses predictability , to bringing the heat and the punch to the defense as they will now be the ones in charge and a step ahead . Thanks to Enos those OL that you all doubted and bashed will now be pancaking and bringing the hurt to Linebackers and Defensive Lineman . As mentioned with the offense , all the shifts and motion make defenses a half a step slower and that slight hesitation gives a guard or tackle a full head of steam to fire off into them on run plays . I can’t wait to call our all the OL doubters . A lot of you think that all world talents Scaife and Donaldson just magically got soft or forgot how to block lol.
The improvements go on and on and I really think we’re in for our best season in 15 years ....
