On one hand, Trump's ego would suggest he'd run again in 2024, on the other I sometimes debate if he actually likes being president outside of the attention. He might enjoy just pretending like he was robbed for the rest of his life more. He's also going to be in a heap of legal trouble the second he's not president anymore, so who knows if he's even still in the country by 2024.

I agree with your characterization about the pre Trump GOP, but unfortunately Trump has really highlighted for me the "white identity" collation in the Republican party is a lot larger than I thought it was. No matter who you vote for, some part of the party is going to be distasteful, but hopefully they're just marginal. Like I kind of thought the intellectual free market capitalists drove the GOP bus and "white identify" voters just sat in the back, but I think I've had it backwards. I very much thought Republicans would never en masse support Trump like they have.

John Bolton said Trump endorsed China's literal concentration camps. Trump's a reality TV star, and it's been an entertaining 4 years, but he never actually knew what he was doing, and he was outclassed by psychos like Chi Jin Ping.
There are poll watchers representing both parties. Trump was just prevented from adding his people into the process. There are rules.

So I read some actual leftist news sometimes, and they hate Harris. She's "cop" and blah blah blah. Every party has extreme whackos. The issues is the Republicans elected one to be president. I will say far left progressives and conservatives massively overestimate how big progressives are as a % of the population. They're like 20 to 30% of Democratic primary voters. They're loud an annoying but Biden won the primary for a reason.
