For all you that think the BOT will get involved, I have a little reality break for you. While your hated Donna was an actual football fan (and hated because she was a Democrat and on Clinton's cabinet) and met with recruits, Frenk has 0 interest in football. I was up in one of the administrative suites for the UVA game (which suck, I belong with my screaming crew in the cheap seats) and watched him, literally did not look up once at the game.
At least with Blake I can tell you that he is passionate about the Canes, for whatever reason he decided that he was going to be the UM athletic director at the age of 10 and stuck to fill his dream. I haven't seen him this year, but last year I was up in those seats once and except for when he did the administrative stuff, he was watching the game.
I'm ambivalent about the Diaz hire - I think the thought was that he represented continuity and it would have been impossible for a new coach to keep the last class together (and Mario was called and was not coming). I am more critical of the Richt hire - the thought was that this was a slam dunk, especially since he was an alumni and had a great winning % in Georgia - but I was a BBB guy and I thought that Butch was actually the safest choice as the fanbase was so strongly in favor of him and if it didn't work out at least he wouldn't be the focus of the hate like he is now
