Elite programs are committed to winning.
Underachieving programs are committed to participation trophies, testicle tickling and sausage sucking, embarrassing losses on national tv, mediocrity, National irrelevance, Titanic re-enactment team photos, hiring Temple coaches, beta bitchassness, and “unquestioned effort” of its players on a 6-5 team.
“Unquestioned effort” should be a given no matter what program you are- you don’t get credit for it. It is to be EXPECTED, demanded, and an automatic for ANY coach at ANY program.
It’s about a clear commitment to being an elite Program again. And @gferman article confirms what the vast majority of us have worried about for some time now.
