Listening to it now and one thing that caught my ear was when you were talking about Terry McCray. You said that he (among a few others) should have never been recruited at a school like Miami.
You may be right about his talent, I truly have no idea. What I don't understand is how you can say we shouldn't be recruiting kids like that when we were fighting off LSU til the last minute? LSU does a hell of a job recruiting on that side of the ball (especially in south florida). Some kids bust, it happens in every program from #1-128, but McCray wasn't a case of a kid who had no offers but FIU and FAU and then we decided to take him.
It seems like your logic is we should only recruit players that are 100% locks to be great (which are very rare), should we not be going after the players that the upper echelon programs are coming into our backyard trying to steal? Hindsight is 20/20 but its hardly fair to say it was a bad move at the time.
