You once mentioned after Golden was canned that he had dealt with an extremely long list of player issues off the field - academic and personal. The JT4 saga seems to get weirder and weirder if you stretch it back to last year when he just left the team. Can you give us any sense if there are issues that Diaz is working through? Without going into details, a nod or a wink would suffice. So much weird energy from this program, and look - I love to bash the coaches as much as anyone, but I'm also curious to know what exactly is going on with the players?
Second - can you give us an idea of what these coaches do to punish players for poor performance? What motivational and/or fear tactics does Diaz resort to? Are those days over? When I played basketball in high school, if we lost as a team or I had a bad night, my coaches ran us until we puked. Are we doing that anymore, or is that considered....inhumane? What examples of player accountability do you see the coaches reinforcing? Whatever it is you are seeing, how does that stack up to what Butch, Shannon, Golden and Richt all did?
