Probably Gillum 53% De Santis 46%, 1% Other. Maybe higher. Lot of bad news coming out of my local GOP contacts this week.

Black turnout will be off the charts high for him, and Puerto Rican vote here will be massive as Irma retaliation against Trump, but will also offset GOP Cuban.

Get ready. Far left liberal socialist is heading back to Tally- but as Governor.

Hope I’m wrong, but a lot of GOP people who are far more plugged in than I am tell me it isn’t looking good. White vote would have to be even higher for De Santis than Trump in 2016, which is unlikely at this point.

Agreed. Gillum has been up in most of the recent polls and will benefit from the blue wave sentiment that will bring more Dems out to the polls than usual. Bill Nelson will also benefit from that and win reelection.

You made predictions before and they sucked so I am not going to worry about it.

Not so fast my friend... having lived in Orlando for the past 15 years I can tell you Puerto Ricans come here predominately looking for work. The economic situation on the island in general, even before the hurricane, almost requires govt assistance for most. They love a good job/paycheck as much as anyone and will work their asses off for it. Central Florida also has relatively affordable neighborhoods for upward mobility to the middle class almost immediately once you secure a decent job. Read this link from July of this year, it really defeats many of the common stereo types.

Don't listen to the old Bill Cosby types on here who are predisposed to be racists and on govt assistance, they are uncoachable, uneducated parrots.

I’ve also been right a lot. We could point to your Al Golden testicle stroking threads from 2014 and on... Nobody bats 100% in life.

I wouldn’t worry about polls- I’d worry about Gillum getting a historically high black turnout, a ton of non-Cuban latins, independent women, and Under-30 aged voters. DeSantis needs a GOP turnout like in 2016 and then some. Let’s hope I’m wrong for this State’s sake.

DeSantis will be Governor - remember when Putnam supposedly had that big lead - Tallahassee has the highest crime rate in Florida and Gillum’s time as mayor is filled with corruption . He has not yet been implicated but the FBI has an on going investigation into several close friends of his - with the economy doing so well he plans on upsetting the applecart by more than doubling the tax rate on corporations -

That was shocking. I had my stepsister at Broward GOP on primary night texting that De Santis would beat Putnam by double digits and I couldnt believe it.

The Graham family is one of the most famous family names in the history of Florida. For Bob Graham’s daughter Gwen to lose the way she did in the primary was shocking to me. Now a big part of that was the Miami Beach mayor taking a lot of white votes and specifically white Jewish votes away from Gwen. But Gillum’s victory there was no fluke.

Per Real Clear Web Site, the last 2 FL Gov polls each show Gillum by 1% with a 3.5% Margin of error. This is his smallest lead yet. These polling end dates were 9/27 and 9/30 conducted by Mason Dixon and a TV station.

We're now a month out and non political junkies will start to pay attention....Gonna be interesting.

White voters? The party of white men only? Nailed it!!!

Cems....I realize you’d love to play off your shameful position on Kavanaugh and just move on as if nothing happened but it’s just not going to happen with me. I consider you a stain on our republic and it’s best if you and I just ignore each other for a while.

Drinking again?

Stop with your nonsense. You can ignore me if you like but I ain't going nowhere. I still believe Ms Ford. We now have two sexual predators on the Supreme Court and one in the WH, all Republicans. Hmmmm

If that happens we will be heading towards California and get more letters like this one...

Dear Sir,
I have a very complicated benefits question.

Many years ago, I married a widow out of love who had an 18 year old daughter.
After the wedding, my father, a widower, came to visit a number of times, and he fell in love with my step daughter.
My father eventually married her without my authorization.
As a result my step-daughter became my step mother and my father became my son in law.
My father's wife (also my step daughter) and my step-mother, gave birth to a son who is my grandchild because I am the husband of my step daughter's mother.
This boy is also my brother, as the son of my father.
As you can see, my wife became a grandmother, because she is the mother of my father's wife.
Therefore it appears that I am also my wife's grandchild.
A short time after these events, my wife gave birth to a son, who became my father's brother-in-law, the step-son of my father's wife, and my uncle.
My son is also my step mother’s brother, and through my step-mother, my wife has become a grandmother and I have become my own grandfather.
In light of the above mentioned, I would like to know the following:

Does my son, who is also my uncle, my father's son-in-law and my step mother's brother fulfil the requirements for receiving childcare benefits?

Sincerely yours,
Mohammed Abu Laden Habib

THE ANSWER:

Of course, you qualify Mohammed! I have arranged to start mailing the checks to all of you just as soon as you arrive here in California.

Yours faithfully,
Jerry Brown, Governor

Advarkas...is there an update on your original post? First debate tonight, hoping for some better news re: De Santis chances...

Gillum has been consistently up by as many as 12 and as little as 1, so it would be fair to say that he's at a minimum up by a few points.

I watched the debate tonight and Gillum was on point. He'll win biggly. De Santis looked panic stricken through out the debate. His biggest issue is his strong support of Trump. Trump not liked very much in this state. Only in the northern part of the state. Better known as Southern Alabama.

Notice how the author of this thread or any of the other right wingers haven't responded with their post debate lies about how well De Santis did. They know the truth. De Santis is a loser like Trump.

I was surprised to see DeSantis do that badly. He looked nervous and uncomfortable for the entire hour.

There is no update. Little has changed in the last 3-5 weeks. Gillum leads among women, voters under 35, minorities, and is supported more by his party (97%) than De Santis (88%). Gillum probably wins 55-57% of the vote.
At least you're not lying about how well De Santis did. Your boy is a loser like Trump.

Earth to Cem ... Trump WON the election ...Hillary lost!!!

It will

It will be great to see Florida with a state income tax like we have in Georgia. That’s enough reason to vote for Gollum. Add that the Dems are promising to increase federal taxes should be a pretty quick downward trend on the stock exchange!

You do know the legislature will most likely still be controlled by right wingers?
