Not all tax payers can get other peoples money at 0% interest with no collateral or personal guarantee. The % of stock market value owned by private individuals is at an all time low. The stock market being up is a good thing but no where near as meaningful as pre 2008.

I have no idea of what you are talking about. Don't make it complicated. These funds are tax dollars. People lost their job because of Covid. What you guys should realize is you are being cucked. Used. When people get their own money because they do pay taxes this is NOT A HANDOUT! It is people getting money they need because they lost their jobs due to a world pandemic. It's pretty silly to call this a handout. This is why we pay taxes.
Yep! They had a job right? Or else they would not have been eligible right? So, they paid their fair share because they worked and taxes were taken out automatically and those who didn't have taxes auto deducted got a bill and either paid or got fined or went to jail.

WASHINGTON — In response to a question posed to President Biden about family separation lawsuits brought by the American Civil Liberties Union and other lawyers, the president said a $450,000 settlement amount per child “is not going to happen.”
ACLU Executive Director Anthony D. Romero had the following response:
“President Biden may not have been fully briefed about the actions of his very own Justice Department as it carefully deliberated and considered the crimes committed against thousands of families separated from their children as an intentional governmental policy. But if he follows through on what he said, the president is abandoning a core campaign promise to do justice for the thousands of separated families. We respectfully remind President Biden that he called these actions ‘criminal’ in a debate with then-President Trump, and campaigned on remedying and rectifying the lawlessness of the Trump administration. We call on President Biden to right the wrongs of this national tragedy.”

We do not pay taxes to give it away. Sorry that is an incorrect answer. Unemployment is a state program that employers and employees pay in to.

Of course the stock markets up. There’s less than half a billion people in this country and the fed government keeps printing trillions of dollars. It’s simple math, it has to go some where. Unfortunately, if you go back to basic math you’ll conclude that not even a fraction of it is staying in this country. Take a fraction of the trillions of dollars that have been dispersed over the last 3 years and divy it up amongst the less than half a bill pop here and every legal citizen in the US would be millionaires…. If it stayed here and wasn’t pissed away.
As far as unemployment, talk to any business owner and not a one will tell you that it’s been anything less than a major challenge to get employees in any industry. People are spending money like drunken sailors right now but the supply isn’t even close to meeting the demand. Why? Not enough people are willing to work. You have more small business going out of business than we’ve seen since the crash in 08, yet their are more millionaires running around than ever before. As the middle class gets squeezed out the bridge between the haves vs have nots continues to grow at a freakishly fast pace. Costs on everything sky rocketing. $15 is like the new $5. You have millions of hard working people making around $50,000 salaries putting in 40-60 hour weeks that don’t have investment portfolios that are finding them selves in the poverty bracket. It’s insane.
