Yep. Instead of playing the victim, he took his passion to the highest level. His parents instilled a great work ethic in him instead of a sense of entitlement.

This is a real role model @cdwright40 @cortez55403 @gokcub @cems52 @claboo , not Lebron James, who supports slavery.

Yes, definitely a great find, especially coming from someone such as yourself.
I'm sure you don't give a shyt about this kid or his story in real life, but you took this opportunity to appear "woke" a bit yourself.......I'm not impressed. You still wear your racism on your sleeve and the ENTIRE Lounge knows it already, too late

What I care about is people, ALL PEOPLE, being treated fairly and equally, not just people who look like myself.......something YOU cannot claim nor relate to. This fake show of awareness and empathy as it relates to a black man is complete BS coming from you, so stop it. I have more respect for a white supremist who openly says what he is and stands behind it.

You're absolutely right, didn't know about the Tulsa massacre, until the media began talking about it however, not Biden. I don't pay much attention to his speeches. Unfortunately, my American History classes in my predominately white High School neglected to teach us about much of anything that showed whites in a negative light, or blacks in a positive light for that matter.

In fact, I never learned about all of the black scientists and inventors, black scholars, all of the many inventions by blacks, the contributions to our society by blacks, never learned any of this in High School. I had to do my own research, to learn about the history and the contributions blacks made to America. But I learned all about the contributions of Whites though......I can count on one hand, the blacks that were highlighted in American History throughout my HS years.

During black history month when growing up we always had to write a biographical essay on a black inventor or musician/artist (historical, not current pop culture). I covered Maya Angelou, George Washington Carver, Garrett Morgan, etc. One person of interest I learned from another student was the AA female & Native American aviator, Bessie Coleman... interesting story. Anyway, I have an appreciation for all Americans who improve society, no matter how they look. Of course, it was much harder for many great Americans of color back then, even preventing talented folks from going to war. Bessie wanted to fly planes in the war and ended up doing barnstorming stunts, ultimately leading to her death.

What school did you attend for High School? What city? I attended school in North Miami Beach in the 1960's and 70's learned all about slavery and contributions of African Americans.. I did a book report on Frederick Douglas in 4th or 5th grade remember it vividly. Sounds like you either went to a lousy school or you just don't remember.
