I think many are getting caught up and focused in the wrong area. Numerous posts about who the next head coach is going to be.
First off Blake James is not and will not Fire Manny Diaz. His father is way too politically connected to allow something like that to happen. Blake would not even entertain the idea .
Second, the real target and focus of the “noise” needs to be Blake James himself. He mismanaged the whole Golden fiasco, was a total beta through the Richt hiring and now Manny. The guy has made more mistakes than fixes. He’s failed as an AD because in any other position of leadership with “accountability” he’d been fired long ago.
Blake James needs to be fired sooner than later. Get a new AD with a set of balls. Let him evaluate the season and be able to have that conversation with Manny of whether or not the University needs to go in a different direction.
If Julio Frenks cares anything about this program and realizes what a winning program not only does for the city but financially for the school, he will make the right decision and quickly!
