In a wrinkle that the offense showed for the first time today, backup QB Malik Rosier ran a read option pitch play. When the end picked him up he pitched wide to Trayone Gray for a short gain. Another first of the spring: Al-Quadin Muhammad essentially lined up at linebacker in the final team drills. LB Tyriq McCord confirmed after practice that Muhammad is playing the same spot McCord did a year ago, where he'd drop back in coverage at times acting like a linebacker and at other times simply rush off the edge.
So we are gonna see AQM drop into coverage this year. The 260 lb. AQM covering WRs, TEs and RBs. Just what we all wanted. The genius of Golden at work again. SMDH.
