Jared Kushner's family and he are one of the largest developers in NYC you dope. Ivanka was an executive at Trump Group and had numerous businesses of her own.

Kushner Companies describes itself as a "diversified real estate organization." Kushner senior built up most of his wealth in New Jersey, but when Jared took control of the company, he sold off most of those holdings to buy 666 Fifth Avenue, an office tower in Manhattan, for a record-setting $1.8 billion. According to kushner.com, "[the company's] national reach consists of more than 20,000 multifamily apartments, as well as 13 million square feet of office, industrial and retail space throughout New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio and Illinois." Notable properties include the historic Puck Building, a late 19th-century landmark in the Nolita neighborhood of Manhattan, and the famed Jehovah's Witnesses' Watchtower building in Brooklyn.

The couple, both of whom waived government salaries, said they had income of at least $23.8 million and as much as $120 million during 2020 and the first 20 days of 2021. That compares to the figure of as much as $156 million for the same period a year earlier. Officials are only required to disclose the value of their assets and their non-governmental income in broad ranges.

Overall, the disclosures suggest Trump and Kushner, though still extremely wealthy, lost ground or tread water economically during their controversial stints in her father’s administration. In 2017, shortly after joining the White House staff, they reported income of as much as $195 million, but that initial disclosure covered a longer period of time than the ones that followed.

The couple’s assets appreciated only modestly, if at all, over the last four years, during which the stock market climbed more than 60%. In their most recent disclosure, they listed assets worth between $206 million and $803 million, compared to a 2017 figure of between $241 million and $741 million. They listed assets worth between $203 million and $783 million last year.

The pair -- scions of family real-estate empires -- have extensive holdings in businesses hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic. Kushner reported as much as $117 million in income, mostly from rent or royalties tied to residential and commercial properties he owns. He also reported $1.8 million from Westminster Management, the Kushner Company’s management firm for multifamily housing in New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia & Tennessee.

They were already successful people in their own right, as opposed to the trailer trash Biden family none of whom ever held a REAL job. Hunter is as low as it gets- drug addicted slob kicked out of military, hanging out on skid row to buy crack. He had to be forced by a court to support a love child he had with a stripper. I wonder if they ever get invited to the White House?

Very well written post. But do you really expect the TDS crowd to understand the difference between managing an ongoing business concern and getting paid by shady governments to influence Daddy, because Daddy is too cheap to support his crackhead son and illegitimate kids?

All members of Congress live quite well. They make $175,000-$250,000/yr. They get paid during govt shutdowns. They do not meet while Congress is in Recess, even in Crisis situations. When Congress is in session they live in Apts that are quite nice, from what I heard. Their healthcare is paid for. BTW I'm not offended if you think Im a Haole ( Caucasian) . It shouldnt matter what a persons ethnicity is.

Jared Kushner worked for the American people . Do you realize he and Trump finally moved our embassy to Jerusalem- something every President promised but didn't do. Did you ever hear of the Abraham accords? He did that also.
