A former mixed martial artist filmed punching a police officer during the deadly Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol received a 41-month prison sentence on Wednesday, the stiffest punishment yet in the almost 700 criminal cases stemming from the siege.

The vice president was Mike Pence at the time the letter was left so I have no idea of what you are talking about and neither do you. JANURARY 6th!!! The Trump administration was still in their lame duck session and this riot was to prevent the official transfer of power. Try and keep up.

Although reports of rioters charged with carrying firearms have been limited , the number has been steadily climbing. Mark Mazza, 56, an Indiana man is the latest of about half a dozen Jan 06 defendants charged with carrying a loaded firearm to the Capitol on Jan 06 told investigators that if he had found Speaker Nancy Pelosi, "you would be here for another reason, " according to court documents posted over the weekend.
In this case Mazza allegedly carried a Taurus revolver known as "the Judge", which is capable of firing shotgun shells----two of which were in the chamber, along with 3 hollow point bullets. A capitol police Sgt obtained the weapon after allegedly fending off an assault from Mazza.
According to the charging documents in the case, two Capitol Police investigators visited Mazza at his home in Shelbyville, Ind., on March 29th , and he admitted attending the Jan 06 "Stop The Steal" rally and marched with the crowd to the Capitol. Camera footage shows Mazza present during the most intense hand to hand violenceof the day in the Capitols lower West terrace tunnel.
The mounting evidence has undercut claims by DJT and his allies that the mob attacking the Capitol was unarmed. Once again #45 lies thru his teeth.

Yep! These people are pieces of crap! So glad they are getting theirs although I still believe it is too soft. They need to be in prison a long time for what they did. Threatening the lives of government officials. Completely unacceptable and these these morons are nothing but cowards with or without a weapon.
