If you are reading what Al & Coley are saying in their interviews on these last few practices, Malik is making the case that I've believed in since the 1st day his vid was posted on this site as a HS QB,
You hear- running a "LIGHTNING FAST" Offense- You hear- "Moving the ball better on 3rd downs- And in no way am I trying to imply I want something to happen to Brad cuz I know he's the QB starter barring any injury but, Malik has stayed behind this week to show & prove what he can do to really make Coley make us a more dynamic Offense & with Malik and certain packages, we are.
I know the kid has just as strong a arm as Kaaya -He's played Catcher in Baseball pretty much his whole life and playing that position in the off season just continues your arm strength and growth. And what he's able to do on the ground vs Brad well, Malik will win that 1 all day. And as we have seen with Al & his QB's- he won't pull his starter for anything no matter how bad he's playing or even hurt- EXP{ Stephen Morris } And Malik has seemed to catch Al's eye as you can tell in his Q & A ....
Malik has a real shot this Saturday to really gain even more confidence from Al, I personally believe Coley already knows it as he was the 1 that went after him hard, he knows what he can do. So if he has a good scrimmage this Sat. throwing the ball & really showing a more dynamic Off. with his feet-it's gonna get Coley & Al's minds working on how to get this kid in the games and in certain spots where he excels more than Brad. I watched this kid really closely when his vids 1st appeared and I saw what he had immediately & I guarantee you this- if he get's his shot in game situations-he'll come through more than he won't. I just believe that much in him.
Now again- I'm not talking a rotating system like Spurrier done at U FAG but-when you have a certain talent-you just have to find ways to use that talent & the way Brad comes off, being a real team guy-I'm quite sure if Malik helps us score in certain positions-I know he would support him 100% and not pout like so many would or do. I really hope he continues to grow over the summer because I personally wanna see him in game situations. One thing about him-he will be exciting I would bet that....
