After careful consideration, and doing a deep dive into the performance of the football team, and specifically the way Coach Diaz is able to keep every game close regardless of the competition ( unless of course it is a good team, then we lose big) and the way his designed scheme and defense has managed to be picked apart by every team, we decided we have no choice to give Manny another year to confirm what the fan base already knows- that he sucks!
In fact, as your new AD, I want to follow the USC model where they gave Clay Helton another year just to fire him after game one of the next season. (Helton’s new gig is Georgia State).
I cannot imagine any competent AD and new hire, reaching the conclusion that Manny should be retained. If the new AD reaches that conclusion, I unfortunately will believe keeping Manny for at least a year was a condition of retention.
