I personally believe Redwine will prove to be 1 of the best players out of this last cycle. . I think we were real lucky to grab him late like we did & however this group was able to pull him well, gotta give props when they are deserved. I think he will prove combined with JJ to be 1 outstanding D Backfield & if we can just add some more elites in this cycle and keep them, this Defense is not far from getting back up to CANE Caliber.
While we are no where near elite at DT-I think with a new staff recruiting, we start to get back on track at that position and if we can luck out and snag 2 top rated HS DT's-Maybe add a JUCO DT but only if he's of high caliber, that's where it will start. Our DE's are gonna be superb & have more committed and some dam good 1's looking at us hard.
Now, I have in no way changed my mind about this staff-Mainly Al & his Temple group with a reserve on Melvin to see what he's a bout. I still do not believe they are no way capable and worthy to hold the positions at H.C-D COORD - I still believe it's gonna take another H.C who knows how to recruit and to put a supporting staff around him that can also hold their own on the trail. To be able to go toe to toe with the usual CFB Powers we go up against every year & actually win for some of these top rated DT's-Game changing DT's that have just been missing here for way too long.
But after going back & watching some Redwine Vid-As I said" I believe we were real lucky to add this kid at the 12th hr & IMO will prove his career here to be 1 of our better DB's in a while. Him & JJ are gonna be nasty & when ya have 2 talents like that so young, just add 2 more this cycle with their skill set or even better and this Defense is starting to look more & more like a CANE D. If we luck out and hold on to everyone of our LB commits-that too will be huge & also I think this cycle starts us back on the track with landing real DT's. Even if we only land 2 that we can see with our own eyes have the talent-the want to win, the want to bring the "U" Back-we are just a H.C & a few staff members away from having seasons we were so spoiled on for so many years. It's close but-it will take another H.C & his appointed staff to get us where we should be and that's kicking the dog sht out of FSPUKE 2x a year every year for some years to come !!! P.S- AND ANYONE ELSE WHO GET'S IN THE WAY !!!
