Is it just me, or does Lori L’s sentence seem to be a little severe?

Not saying what she did was ok but my god, five months in prison and millions in attorney/court costs. Unc flat out moved their football players through their classes. Kids that have parents that buy school buildings get in with sub standard academics in comparison to other kids qualifying scores/resumes/grades all the time. There are literally people rioting that are going to get less time in jail let alone prison. I doubt she has to serve the entire five months and it’ll probably be in a cup cake camp and hopefully as washed up as she was she can turn all the new found publicity into a positive when she gets out. Just seems rather severe to me. I mean who was the lsu player/stud that we had committed to us that we pulled off of due to low act score only to see his score double in like one month and go to lsu with him being flagged? Since when did cheating college academic requirements get to be such a massive crime? Does anyone really believe that vince young got into texas fair and square with their academic requirements? The guy can barely read at a third grade level! We’re talking major main stream media network embarrassment, millions of dollars and prison time. Crazy!

Who the hell did she piss off? She’s gotta be the only person in the would that could get this beat up over something like this. The media alone has just been brutal. Glad she got caught and glad she was found guilty but kinda feel bad for her. Too much if you ask me. Anyone else and I’m thinking a $100,000 fine and a week in the county, case closed in three months.

I agree but she should have just owned it when they got caught and it would have been a lesser sentence. The sad news is no punishment to the universities that let this happen .

It's just you. She should have been sent to jail for a year. Bet your azz if it wasn't a Hollywood elite it would have been worse

She received two months, her hubby got 5. I would like to know why they both didn't receive the same. Seems to me, women still aren't being treated the same as men.

its all political, Im not a Hollywood fan and I hate those liberal stars but for these people to serve anytime its ridicules..
But yet they are letting murders out of prison early..

It’s insanity ..!!!! Give me a freaking break so they paid someone to get their kids in school , Hell I do the same thing...

Calling bull shit. If anything it’s the other way around. I guarantee you that this is not the first time that someone has been caught committing this particular crime. I can also guarantee you that this is the harshest punishment ever issued for this particular crime. The punishment just doesn’t seem to fit the crime. There seems to be more to this than what we’re hearing.

Hillary was literally caught red handed illegally typing classified info on unprotected servers (something that people do go to jail for) and then lied to congress about it (also illegal and people also go to jail for) and she didn’t get any form of punishment. This full house lady get’s two months in prison for lying about an attempt to bribe a school to get their kid in? Who gives a shit?! Why is this news worthy? She’s not even a hollywood elite. Shes a washed up cheesy hallmark xmas supporting actress at best these days.

Country club lockup. She will probably have internet privileges. Also doubt it will be a full 5 months.

Uh yeah a whole host of people were caught up on this crime which you would know if you watched the news or googled it. Most plead guilty she and her husband fought the charges much longer before caving in. Should have been worse.

The tip that started this investigation was from a Wall Street guy caught up in a pump and dump. Trying to lesson his sentence he tells FBI. FBI starts yearlong investigation that uncovered admissions scandal. This all goes back to these deals the government makes with people caught up in criminality. She didn’t play game right and they don’t like that.

Not going to lie, this saga hasn’t been at the top of my priority list and was just more or less me trying to make conversation during a slow time on the board. That being said, you still have to consider the actual crime. It’s not like she lied about a rape allegation. She did what (see my op) lot’s of ppl do. As far as lying about it, every dem involved in the russia investigation lied to congress. Hillary lied to congress. Nothing. Lot’s of people lie under oath and don’t get prison time for it. It’s ridiculous. The husband got twice as much time. Did he lie more than her? It’s a joke. Some judges pathetic attempt at trying to make a name for him self.

Where do you think all this new infrastructure at miami is coming from? Who do you think is paying for the new dorms? There’s an intern for the athletic dept right now that’s father is a billionaire. You think the son of the prez of ups would have gotten into miami if weren’t for his dads donations? He sucked at football and never played a down and was recruited by absolutely no one.

So she cut to the chase and went strait to the source lol, got caught, lied about it and was found guilty. $100,000 a week in the county done. Fess up and it’s 2 days in the county and a $10,000 fine. These people are nuts. You don’t do that much time for grand theft or battery.

since you are the educated one that’s following up on this subject I'll give it up to you to give me one, just ONE example in the history of the world where someone, anyone went down this hard for this particular crime.

They gave a woman in georgia 5 years for lying about her address so her daughter could get a better education. Justice sure has a funny meaning in America smdh.

Her husband was leading their efforts to manipulate the system and he orchestrated the whole photo sessions of his daughters pretending to be rowers...
