Thats what AD's do Right.. Thats there Job Description.. So the article really doesn't suprise me..

No Athletic Director is going to want to be Told by the Admin who there guys will be.. They want to make that call

As far as Manny being Retained.. I disagree with Gary in saying that the New AD will come in and NOT immediately fire Manny.. First of all.. The New AD didn't Hire Manny.. So Manny Diaz is not "HIS GUY"... Thats Strike One.. Unless the New AD has been Hiding under a Rock for the past three years.. He should know the expectations of the Program and of the job hes taking and pair that up with the fact that the past 3 years are unacceptable.. Strike Two... If the New AD wants to KEEP his job in Year 2, then don't keep a Head Coach that will immediately result in the Tanking of Ticket Sales.. Cancellation of Season Tickets... and basically create all out Revolt from the Fanbase in the One Sport that is your Main Revenue Generator for the Athletic Department in General.. If this happens then the New AD should be Gone in Year 2 for the Stupidity of keeping this clown.. Its basically a Massive Fail on the Part of your New AD.. Strike Three...

Bottom Line.. Manny's Gone.. And if this New AD doesn't understand what Place, Destination, Office, Position, and Culture he's walking into... Then it wasn't the right AD hire..... Think about it for a while Logically.......
