Pelosi is the left's version of Paul Ryan, hard core politicians that the otherside won't agree with but not batsh*t crazy. Omar, AOC etc are the Matt Goetz of the world, not really Dem or GOP just attention whores who are only loyal to themselves.

Democrats have had the house and senate for 2 years in the last 20. How is she suppose to pass a law passed along party lines when aside from 2008-2010 she’s always had a republican senate. Explain to me how it’s possible to get a law which includes foreign aids passed on a party line vote…. I’ll sit back and wait for your answer
Regardless of what gets passed funding starts in the house, when posting we’re expecting posters to know things they should have learned in the third grade.
She could get many things through and signed if she didn’t attach every little dem wishlist item in bills that have nothing to do with her pork. Once again you fail to mention the obvious and well known answers.
Ok. There is a big difference being domestic and foreign spending. Yes the house controls the purse. HOWEVER a bill that deals with foreign aid must be passed by both the house and the senate. Foreign aid must pass through both the house and senate foreign relation committee. While In the end the bill has to match the senate gets to decide what’s in their bill, they don’t have to adopt any of the things that the house puts in their bill. Once that bill is approved in the senate and it’s been passed in the house if there is one word that is different it must go to conference where both the house and the senate have to come to an agreement.
So even if Nancy wants to throw “pork” spending in a bill if the republican led senate doesn’t want it in there, it’s not going ANYWHERE. Those matters can only be dealt with once a year when dealing and preparing the budget which only gets voted on once a year. So In order for her to sneak one past the Republicans in the senate she would have to get them to agree to sign 100% of what came out the house and with republican led committees in the senate, if they did that Its because they also wanted it in there or it was negotiated in there, then the president would have to want to sign that.
Bottom line is she can’t do it herself. There are too many levers and redundancy in the US government for her to just throw foreign aid on top of something and not have it noticed by ANYONE. The only way that could happen is if the Democrats were also in control of the house and senate. Which they have not been since 2008-2010. During those times the government was trying to fix “other” things.
That’s the problem, you guys took what you learned in 3rd grade and never expounded on it…..
You can hide a whole lotta of poop when 5,000 pages of spending are passed in 24 hours.

Again, anything that has foreign aid has to go through and be independently marked up by the foreign affair committee. Nothing goes through the house and senate in 24 hrs. You can maybe do that in one branch but when the bill goes to the other chamber it takes more time. At least a 3-4 days before it even goes to the other Chamber. Only way it can go that way is if you don’t change a word. If the senate allows that that’s on them. Can’t put that on pelosi. And that NEVER happens on a budget bill….

I’m not referring to foreign aid, what I’m saying and I believed the other poster was saying is Pelosi filled all the bills with a lot of junk, but because of this thread‘s topic I should have understood what you’re saying. My mind just went to her behavior in general.
