Rarely do I post on here. Often times, I just simply read through each of the threads.
I am not a Golden fan by any means. Like many of you, I wanted him gone at the end of last season; however, with that being said, since Golden is the coach of the Miami Hurricanes this season, I will support him this season in hopes that the light has come on and we begin to play well and win more games. I’m excited about this team because we have more depth than we’ve had at any time during the Golden era.
I understand that many of you have no faith in this coaching staff and I can understand why; however, I refuse to dog this man or this team on the eve of a brand new season. Maybe I am just a glass half full kinda guy….I refuse to be pessimistic and I will ALWAYS go into a season hoping that THIS is the year we return to prominence. I also find solace in knowing that we may be down now, but it is only just a matter of time before we are back on top where we belong. I don’t understand how any of you can hope we have a bad season just so Golden can be fired. I do not consider you a cane fan if you feel that way.
I’ve been on this board since 2008 and MAN has this board gone through some changes. It is honestly the worst that I’ve seen it since I’ve been on here, mostly due to fans being negative and fed up with the staff. I have been frustrated just like all of you; however, I constantly remind myself that is most likely a make or break year for Golden. If he does well this year, the bleeding can finally stop and a already strong recruiting class with FL ballas will become stronger. If the team performs poorly, he’ll be fired and the bleeding will stop (hopefully). I am only 26 but I’ve been a diehard cane since 99, so I haven’t been around as long as some of you but history has shown that no matter what, the U will be back on top eventually.
With all of this being said, I’m ready for some mother phuckin football so I can be sane again my cane brotheren..and I’m approaching this season with some mother phuckin swag and I’m pushing all the negative BS to the side. You all should do the same.
