I think you have to understand the difference between having a good relationship with Russia and a good relationship with Putin. Clearly you do not. It is NOT A GOOD THING to have a good relationships with Putin. He is not who we want a good relationship with. He is a dictator and hates us. So I have no idea of what you are talking about...or what Trump is talkin about.

Just in case you are not aware, Donald Trump is no longer President of the United States of America, He has not been for over a year.
He has not been involved in the foreign policy and negotiations with Putin that have led up to the current crisis in Ukraine.
He did not make the decision to surrender to the Taliban.
His energy are no longer in place. He has nothing to do with the current increases in gasoline, heating oil and food prices.
His policies are no longer in place at the Southern Border. The increases in crime, costs of absorbing the illegal immigrants and increased drug traffic are outside of his control.
Joe Biden is now the president. The successes and failures of the nation are on his shoulders.

It’s definitely in our best interest to have a good relationship with both Russia and Putin on our terms . That’s what Trump was trying to achieve and was making progress.

But what we need to do is establish that relationship based on a position of strength. How ? By increasing energy production and distribution, by building up our military ( something that the democrats have opposed for decades ) by forcing our allies to increase their military budgets . These are all things that the prior administration focused on .
