$4m coach and more money committed for coaching, recruiting, strength training, etc.
New Football Training Center (Schwartz)
New Practice Fields (including turf field and lights)
Expected Indoor Facility shortly
Hecht Lobby Renovation
U Health Facility
Training Table Room at the Dining Hall
Nutrition Center in the Hecht
New Adidas Contract
Not the U money but a $400m renovation to Sun Life
University Village (where most upperclassman live) across from the Hecht
Etc.
1. The last 5 years has seen a remarkable evolution and commitment not seen in the previous 50 years combined
2. We went from bottom 50 to top 30 in terms of facilities. Very good for a private university who was known for its stinginess.
3. The future is damn bright. And while they will always attack any potential weakness (on campus stadium), we should market what we have, which will be top facility that hosts super bowls and cfb playoff/title games which just received a $400m renovation. Who else can claim that in a world of kids wanting glitz and entitlement? Plenty of fans will show up when we start playing Canes football again. I expect another 5000 season tickets this year and more butts in the seats with the canopy and better energy around the program and product on the field.
