If Jarren Williams starts on Friday, Manny Diaz will be guilty of the same incompetence and agenda-based decisionmaking that ruined Richt's and Golden's careers here. They need to make decisions that give the team the best chance to win, period. Golden needed to fire his buddy Dnofrio. Richt needed to remove his son from the QB room and bring in a hungry QB coach and OC. Diaz can’t make the same mistake. Jarren is a game manager. He is not dynamic. He is not a playmaker. The offense was night and day better with Perry at the helm, who did not get the QB1 reps in practice. He gets the ball downfield and stretches defenses. He needs to start against UVA. If he doesn’t, I will completely lose faith in Diaz.
