I flew on AC-130s, so I have a lot of intertwined circles with these guys. It’s amazing what they are doing right now without the full backing of the government. They are doing what should be done, simply because it’s the right thing to do.
The ANSOF showed promise, but they couldn’t defend an entire country. I am glad we are getting a lot of those guys out and their families. They fought right along side our special operations units. I was there until April this year as a contractor with these same units, and it was clear what was going to happen. Shame we gave up such a strategic location.
