When asked if he regrets not not going through a longer coaching search when Richt stepped down and said this today "We got the best person for the job so regardless of the length of the search, you want to get the best person for the job for whatever profession that is in" "In athletics, you want to get the best person for the job and to me there is no point of going through things just to say you did them. You find the best person for the job and Manny Diaz is the best person for the job. I felt that way on December 30th, I feel that way today and I am confident I will feel that way in the future".
