Here is the audio of the Republican leader discussing a possible Trump resignation with Liz Cheney (who he subsequently threw under the bus to preserve his own Speaker of the House chances with Trump and the MAGA crowd). McCarthy subsequently lied to the press about whether he discussed Trump resigning, until yesterday when the audio of the call was released proving that he deliberately misled the public.
