Despite the loss last night to Clemson,Kyshawn George is developing into an NBA-caliber prospect. He scored 13 points after missing the last two games due to an ankle injury. He shot the highest percentage of any starter, going 5-9 from the field, and also had a team-high six assists and five rebounds. He also went 3-6 from the field.

ESPN's Jonathan Givony is really high on George and is projecting him as the 42nd overall prospect. George a point guard by nature, often facilitates the offense. He's one of the most proficient shooters in this freshman class, hitting 42% of his 3s on four attempts per game.

He had this to say about his offensive game:

"George shows flashes of ability, changing speeds fluidly out of hesitation moves and using his size to see over the top out of pick-and-roll, but he lacks aggressiveness, physicality, and explosiveness inside the arc. He's still growing into his body, picking up his dribble passively, getting his shot blocked too much, turning the ball over on 23% of his possessions, and not getting to the free throw line (19-for-23)."

On defense, Givony feels George has a ways to go:

"Defensively, George struggled early in the season as many freshmen do, giving up blow-bys, struggling to fight through screens and not always bringing great intensity off the ball, but he is starting to make real progress on that end of the floor. Miami frequently asks him to defend smaller guards, and he can be very impactful using his size, length, and instincts to contest shots all over the floor."

George is a big guard that can make shots from the floor. The final month will truly determine his draft stock, as he will be forced to make big shots in big moments. Although his draft stock is high, it might benefit him to return to play with incoming five-star guard Jalil Bethea.
