What generally happens is that many young voters start out as democrats and then become more educated to the reality and have the opportunity to see first hand that the democratic socialist programs in fact have a major negative impact on all aspects of life in America .. and then they switch to a pro-active realistic political stance and vote conservative. I know so many people that voted for Jimmy Carter that are now staunch Republicans.
