Damn gibson makes good guitars. As much credit as they get, it’s not enough. Unfortunately they’re priced accordingly.

My first guitar was a Gibson ES335. Gibson are some of the most beautiful guitars out there. Their playability however in some of the most inconsistent. Fender may be some of the most consistent.

Well i hope you didn’t sell it because those things start at six grand and go up from there. The hollow body electrics in general tend to be a little high maintenance but there’s no cleaner warmer sound. I play a les paul standard and it takes getting use to but when you do it’s just the coolest thing on earth. I’ve actually come to enjoy the solidity of it. Always wanted an American strat though. They’re just a really versatile guitar that’s really easy to play. Also always wanted a gibson acoustic. I just love Gibson's of every kind. I even got to go to the factory in nashville and came away appreciating them even more than i already did. Like you said they’re just works of art and exemplify American craftsmanship and ingenuity.
