Los Angeles gas prices

Pathetic. I used to love to vacation in California, but have and will stay away

Raoul must have gone to The Peoples Republic of Costco
Truth be told he is correct the county I cite is an outlier but my point remains true. California, a liberal bastian remains once again, worst in Nation. Oil is up another $4 per barrell as Russia entered Ukraine while we were sleeping.

I guess the point is we're headed in the wrong direction...

Went to a regular gas station in LA. The link HJ posted appears to somewhere out in the mountains where gas is normally expensive due to transport costs. Also worth noting that gas in Cali is usually more expensive than in other states.

Yes it is because libs gonna lib.

It has nothing to do with that. It has to do with the locations of refineries and associated transport costs to areas that are harder to reach and or have higher demand.

Maybe this has something to do with it.

California pumps out the highest state gas tax rate of 66.98 cents per gallon, followed by Illinois (59.56 cpg), Pennsylvania (58.7 cpg), and New Jersey (50.7 cpg). The lowest state gas tax rates can be found in Alaska at 14.98 cents per gallon, followed by Missouri (17.42 cpg) and Mississippi

Summer blends will make the prices go up more also

We have 5 refineries within about a 30 mile drive from my home in the Salt Lake valley yet our gas prices are higher than in FL and that is with lower octane levels than what they sell in FL. No rhyme or reason for the prices here being so high especially since we also produce a bit of oil here.

Like @ZEKEMUG stated, it's all dictated by the imbedded taxes in a gallon of gas imposed by the Fed and state. I don't think they're going to touch that, lol...

We are paying just under 50 cents per gallon in taxes when you combine the Fed and State taxes.

I just filled up here in GA at Kroger and paid $3.24($3.27 less .03 cents for being a Kroger Customer, yeah baby!).
We're paying about 3.40 for regular at gas stations here. Costco, Sam's and some grocers here offer discounts off those prices.

Yes, there was an explosion at a refinery in 2015, which caused prices to go up (lol?)
What we noticed on our way home from our last cross country road trip was that the price of gas started increasing as we went through western Kansas. It seems like it keeps going up as you go further west. Not blaming politics here as, like I said, Utah and Idaho have high prices too. Where's Ralph Nader when we really need him?

Was just there. 4.75 for Premium, 4.25 for regular
You got a bargain I paid 4.25 a gallon for regular outside Los Angeles. The going rate is about 4.75 for regular and seems to be going up every day.
