Where is a link? Or are you quoting what you believe to be a reputable source. Maybe someone like GoKub? Do you really expect anyone to take anything seriously that you say without a verifiable source. You have earned a reputation as being less than truthful.
Even if this study is true, most people don’t wear surgical (paper) masks and few wear them properly.

i'm not doctor and don't claim to be. but to me, it's common sense that a cough or sneeze can't travel nearly as far if someone is wearing a mask.

You're exactly right. Nobody claimed they were foolproof but they obviously provide some protection. Surgeons aren't idiots!
i know they aren't 100% as almost nothing is.
but even if they only work a little, i just don't see the big deal about it. i don't really care to wear 1 as i'm fully vaccinated. not really worried about covid for myself. now in my house everyone has either been vaccinated or has gotten covid.
get the shot and you don't really need to wear a mask. all this mask shit would go away for good if people simply got the shot.

when masks were worn a lot the numbers went way down. when the masks came off the numbers have gone way up.
the numbers are gonna go back down because more and more are getting vaccinated and more have been previously infected.
it's not really hard to put 2 and 2 together.
if everyone got the shot, this would all be over. yes people may still get infected, but deaths and really sick would be minimal like the the flu is.

I'm also fully vaccinated but always wear a mask when I go out. I've got underlying conditions and probably wouldn't survive a bout with Covid, Why take unnecessary risks? The mask is no big deal and half the time I even forgot I'm wearing one. I live in Texas and it is a Republican controlled state. What would you expect from them?

Chevy as one, I can tell you we wear them to keep any staphylococci or streptococci we may harbor in our nasal cavity (reparatory system) from contaminating the operative site and prevent/reduce the threat of nosocomial (infection caught in a hospital) down. We throw them away to be burned after every use, because once soiled they harbor and spread the very same bacteria with every breath you take. Which is why many many Dr's have said, unless you dispose of the mask you wear after every use it doesn't work. That's not to mention that only the n99 and above guard against the Covid particle, and you have to throw those out too.
seems the state of Texas doesn't like to mind their own business when it comes to women.
