President Trump has a 30-40% base. Or should I say he HAD. The recent election proves that he lost some of his mojo over that 30-40%. But since then his actions have eroded his base support even further. He had guys like you strongly supporting him, but that is likely now reduced to the 15% range. The other 20-25% that voted for him are no longer part of his base. They are confused. They’re in a gray area. Wondering did they make a mistake in their vote for Trump. I understand why people voted against Hillary. She had some baggage. But she also had a sinister blitz of negative support from OUR F’king enemy Russia that’s been confirmed by the intel community AND the Republican-led Senate Intel Committe. That’s an undeniable fact. A Powerful fact. And Russian intervention was SUPPORTED by the Trump campaign. SUPPORTED by Trump himself. Proven on tape, his words. Proven on tape, Stone’s words, Proven in Trump Tower meeting. Live up to that. You guys have got to get off Carlson, Hannity, Limbaugh, Colter, Ingraham, that other bitch-judge on Fox, and a handful of other ultra-right conservative entertainment hosts/broadcasters. What’s been going on. They miss the day to day news part of this terrible presidency. I watch Fox on occasion just to check. I’m objective, but that handful group of entertainer-broadcasters are lying to you. You’re not getting the real news behind anything. Shep, he’s strictly news. Very fair-minded. Baier is pretty-much fair. Cavuto is fair. Hume is fair. I don’t agree with everything these folks put out, but I respect their opinions. But they are NOT the outliers such as you. I know what they’re about cause 10 or so years ago I was a Fox-only watcher. Would go to CNN to watch the war news. But as soon as President Obama was elected they started with this BS narrative. They saw an opportunity to use a prejudiced bias against a a black man and his liberal views and they took it to a nightly drum roll of anti-Obama beat. Gained a solid rating. Did this (imo) traitor outlook for 8 years! But my point is that many many people who subscribe to conservative-only viewing or readings are NOT getting the true story. Not getting the true news of this particular presidency.
There’s way too much chaos, division, drama, lies, convictions of personnel surrounding Trump, and the fact that it’s pretty clear that he committed crimes before, during, and after his election to the presidency is plenty enough reason to give pause and say, “hey wait a minute; this guy is F’d up”. This will all prove-out once the Mueller investigation is complete. Will it include collusion? Yes. Financial? Yes. Lying under oath (his written statements)? Yes. Obstruction ? Yes. Will he be indicted? Probably not while he’s a sitting president, but that DOJ rule isn’t solidly “court-tested”. I believe in the constitution, and that the founding fathers will be rolling in their graves screaming “indict”. We’ll see.
But for me, I’ve known Trump was bad news for years and years. Many of the Trump supporters here are too young to know, too young to know how way f’king far the party outliers are from where a Ronald Reagan was. For any here that meet that youthful criteria I would say, “ You have no F’ing clue as to where republicans were compared to where they are now; you did Not live it”. Reagan was my CINC. You think I don’t know the objective difference between his views and now? Geezus, his daughter has commented that he would NOT be anywhere near this Trump in viewpoint, in empathy, in practically anything.

I can tell ya from my own experience that the senior noncommissioned officer senior leaders did not care for President Clinton, but they obeyed and for the most part served him loyally. That’s what we did, what military people do. We talk about politics amongst our individual peer groups, in private, never around subordinates, but when the rubber meets the road, American military members OBEY. And it needs to stay that way.

Trump has an overwhelmingly low approval rating among servicemembers. 56% of enlisted members have an UNFAVORABLE OPINION of Trump and 70% of commissioned officers have an UNFAVORABLE OPINION of Trump. Not surprising given the fact that he's going his third year in office and has yet to visit any of our deployed servicemembers.
