Larnell Lewis...this is genius.
I had $36k wrapped up in this one.Lol, as a musician playing my entire adult life and even all through out my teen years mostly recreationally , went to school for music etc. these videos are a lot of fun to watch and hear the narrative but good luck really learning anything from them. It’s like watching a bob vela do a a how to video on how to build a house in 24 hours. These guys are just next level gifted. Btw, that drum set is probably a $10,000 at least custom drum set. These guys are as inspirational as they are humbling. If you want to watch another cool video of just gifted kids that jam out in a clean precise yet funky as hell way check out Vulfpeck.
If you’re ever in lake mary (north central fl area) we have a musician at my restaurant that plays every fri and sat that’s a prodigy. Plays multiple instruments in real time all of them at an elite level and he’s in his late 20’s. Been performing at my place fir three years now.
Man I love the kit but fucgk the pics lol, put the vid of you killing YYZ up! I know you have one lol. Most of the time I’d play a cut down kit because setting that whole thing up took like 3 hours. I have double 20x24 kicks with 8” Woofer which had May Mic’s mounted inside. Literally just plugged an XLR right into the shell. I had $7k just in cymbals. They were a German Burl with a Natural to black fade. 5x13 edge snare, 7x12 edge snare and a massive 7x14 edge snare. Even had a 18x18 double rack mounted Tom Tom. I used to rent it out to studios. Tom’s were 2x8, 2x10, 2x12, 8x8, 10x10, 12x12, 13x13, 14x14, 15x15, 16x16 and 18x18. Shells were all hand picked by John Good and signed.

I used to and have lost them over the years. Here’s one from a small gig I did in Nashville a few years back. Singer is a buddy of mine and Indy artist but the band is full of dudes (and a dudette). Keyboard plays with Billy Currington, Fiddle has played in several bands including Garth Brooks, Bassist played with Kid Rock for a while. Female backup singer has her own signed band out of L.A.Man I love the kit but fucgk the pics lol, put the vid of you killing YYZ up! I know you have one lol.
Seriously, got any vids and beautiful kit man.

My best solo ever was actually at Alico Arena circa 2006. Broke out the whole kit. The show was recorded on video but like I said, one child, 1,000 mile move to TN and a few residences later I have no idea where they went. Social media wasn’t exactly what it’s is today, back then. What, no drum solo?![]()
I hear you Cash, I've misplaced so many things over 59 years. My MIL threw out a ton of stuff I was saving when she was helping my wife pack for our move to Utah. Social media in my day was when you passed a note to a girl in class and told her she was cute.My best solo ever was actually at Alico Arena circa 2006. Broke out the whole kit. Yeah I was just thinking about where it all went & it hit me... 2010 flood took out out barn /storage which also had my Rubbermaid container full of video & audio tapes. I’ve done a bunch of studio sessions between then & 2015 but never really did much recording for myself. A good friend of mine who’s been out of country music since about 2001 just released a song (re-release). Maybe one of these night I’ll see if he’ll let me jump in with him & we will record it. Incidentally his song hit top 20 in the billboard charts. He was a mess lol. Thought his fame & career & music left him & bang right back lol.I hear you Cash, I've misplaced so many things over 59 years. Don't forget your friends from CaneSport when you hit the big time. I'll expect backstage passes when the tour goes through Salt Lake.Yeah I was just thinking about where it all went & it hit me... 2010 flood took out out barn /storage which also had my Rubbermaid container full of video & audio tapes. Oh man those days are long gone for me lol. I’ve played with some greats though. Several who are in the country music hall of fame and some not so well known guys who wrote some enormous hits. Played an open mic night with my friend Jason to have Pete Cummings come sit in with us and play Foxy Lady. Pete played with Elvis. He passed away about two years ago from cancer but I’ll always have that memory. Hung out with Steve Wariner several times. Got to be friends with guys like Shannon Forrest, Rich Redmond & Mike Krompass. Then you get to the big names like Little Big Town, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Cole Swindell, Alan Jackson. It’s been a good run. The guy I was talking about who release a song recently was Jeff Carson. I listened to him a lot in high school. He’s now a police officer for Franklin PD. I hate the thought of having a bad crash with it on and having to relive it over and over on video. Have fun with what you do, we all need an outlet.
Fame and fortune is nice but at the end of the day it's about the memories and experiences we make along the way. Sounds like you've already had a lifetime of those memories from doing what you love to do. Hope you get to enjoy it for as long as you can.Oh man those days are long gone for me lol. Wtf, i hate it when people are so much better than me, especially little kids that aren’t mine. Damn, that’s impressive. It’s almost like when god was handing out talent, he skipped over some of us and just gave our share to these little bratts.@ellu @6882 @CashvilleCane1 @CFSteve @801canesmxer
Check out this young kid playing Led Zeplin. Really impressive!
